She was born January 11, 1836 in Germany and lived to be 72 years. At the age of 17 she came to America and to Sheboygan County with her parents. Her marriage produced 10 children of which 2 preceded her in death. Her husband passed away several years ago. She is survived by the following children; Mrs. John Koeppel(Kessel) of Town Rhine; Mrs. John Kraemer and Mrs. Wm. Brieske of Elkhart Lake; Mrs. Wm. Meyer of Stockbridge; Adolph Henschel of Glenbeulah; Gustave Henschel of Town Russell and John Henschel on the homestead; also 20 grandchildren. The funeral is from the home of the deceased and burial is in the Town Russell cemetery with Pastor Kreuter officiating. He was born August 18, 1872, in the town of Russell, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Henschel. On December 14, 1897, he was united in marriage to Miss Caroline Sigmund who preceded him in death four months ago. After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Henschel lived in Kiel for a short time from where they moved to a farm in Glenbeulah for four years and later to a farm in the town of Russell where they resided for seven years. For the past 17 years they have made their home in Elkhart Lake. Survivors are four brothers, George and Jacob of Kiel, Louis of New Holstein and Adam of Milwaukee; three sisters, Mrs. Robert Mathes, Mrs. John Rochlus and Mrs. Jacob Rochlus, all of Milwaukee. His parents and one brother preceded him in death. John's Evangelical church with the Rev. Carl Nagel officiating. Burial will be made in Elkhart Lake cemetery. Mrs. Henschel was Miss Carolyn Siegmund before her marriage and was born December 7, 1873. On December 14, 1897 she was married to Phillip Henschel and the couple made their home at Kiel. They then moved to a farm in Greenbush where they lived four years, after which they moved to town of Russell where they resided seven years. For the past seventeen years the couple lived in Elkhart Lake. Survivors are her husband, Philip Henschel, a brother, Otto Siegmund of town of Rhine and a sister, Mrs. Valentine Conrad. Another brother, Jake Siegmund, preceded her in death. Mrs. Henschel was a member of the Ladies' Aid society.
